Soham officer jailed for porn lie

So Detective Constable Brian Stevens gets 8 months for misleading the public, his own colleagues, and the grieving parents of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Is this then, the true face of British justice at work? Had that been you or I, the chances are that the sentence would have been considerably greater.

And what about the origional charges that were brought against him, are they to be simply dropped, or will he now face prosecution, as he surely ought to for the downloading of degrading and vile images of child sexual abuse?

Unfortunately, we don't know the answer to that yet, and the worst punishment he currently faces, aside from his incarceration, is that he will probably end up getting sacked.

Well that's all right then, isn't it?
