People Against False Accusations of Abuse

N.S.P.C.C. Lauch new FULL STOP. TV advertising campaign.

The following is just my own personal comments about the new N.S.P.C.C. campaign. You may or may not agree with what I have to say, and it is not my intention to cause distress or discomfort to anyone reading them. I am simply putting forward my own point of view. In the light of the latest news covering the possible 258 wrongly, and therefore falsely accused and convicted parents of child murder, and the 5000 cases (possibly) of state condoned child kidnapping, and one could say, abuse. The N.S.P.C.C. has launched its' latest TV campaign based on its' FULL STOP. philosophy.

Now it must be said, that the N.S.P.C.C. and other charities do excellent work when it comes to the protection of children, a sentiment that I am sure is echoed by any-one who visits and reads this site and others like it.

But I have to question the timing of these adverts coming so close on the tail of what could turn out to be the biggest scandal EVER to hit the child protection 'industry', for that is what it is. An industry.

Let us not forget, that it is due, in no small measure, to the likes of the N.S.P.C.C., more recently, CHILDLINE, and what would seem to be every Social Services department in the country, that the types of FALSE accusations that are now being looked into in huge numbers, are because the people who run these organisations have been only to willing to believe in the now discredited Professor Sir Roy Meadows, and the blind faith that has been put into following the 'No smoke without fire' brigade.

As this web site shows only to well, both within the pages included in it, and from following the links shown, the way in which these organisations view child abuse is both dangerous and blinkered, and needs to be addressed in the strongest manner possible.

As to the adverts themselves, they are shot in such a way as to inflame the sensibilities, which in itself could, and in some societies, would be themselves construed as child abuse. Of course we know that child abuse takes place, both real and imagined. And whilst we may need reminding of that, would it not be better if these organisations showed us what support they gave, rather than placing adverts designed to frighten the very children they supposedly care about?

In closing, I would just like to say that it is about time these organisations took a good hard look at what they do, and especially to search their 'charitable' and respective consciences to see if they really do have our childrens interests at heart, or is their public image more important to them. They also need to ask themselves just how many people have been falsely accused and convicted, based on their flawed methods and belief system.
